Following extensive fire in September 2018 which consumed more than half of Highbury Leisure Centre, its operator Greenwich Leisure Limited (GLL) approached Martin Arnold Ltd on behalf of London Borough of Islington with the task to remodel internally and restore the centre.
The scope included creation of pool side viewing gallery, redesign of wet changing rooms and design of new roof covering including centrally located roof light as well as outline interior design. Externally – the former roof scape and general appearance was to be restored and proposed facing materials were to match existing.
