Located within the centre of Faversham, Kent, on a historic gravel works site, this new build development provides both Shared Ownership and Affordable Rent properties, managed by West Kent Housing Association (WKHA). Martin Arnold were initially appointed on the Phase 1 Development works. However, we were retained on Phase 2 which consisted of the design and construction of 65 affordable homes, across a mixture of houses and apartments.
Martin Arnold’s appointment on Faversham Lakes involved taking on the roles of Employer’s Agent and Clerk of Works, from inception, through to completion on site, across a multi-phased programme.
Our team played an important role in ensuring suitable contract particulars were agreed pre-contract, planning and S106 obligations were met on site, and that the delivery of the units ran parallel with WKHA’s aims in respect of affordable housing delivery in the area were met and exceeded.
Martin Arnold are currently in discussion with WKHA regarding being retained on the third and final phase, which will provide an additional 19 affordable homes on the only remaining vacant part of the gravel works site.
