The scheme was to develop the existing market square in Basildon Town Centre.
This included a new market square in St Martin’s Square that allowed small businesses to sell their products to the public. As well as featuring ‘state of the art’ kiosks, the new market also provides capacity for up to 40 pop-up stalls, enabling the market to introduce themed events alongside day-to-day trading.
The scheme also includes a new management and service building that local staff can use to facilitate the local area.
